Who we are
Amy Miles Kowalski, Esq.
Amy Miles Kowalski brings over two decades of legal experience and a compassionate, solutions-focused approach to her work in family law and mediation. She earned her Juris Doctor with distinction from George Mason University School of Law (now Antonin Scalia Law School) in 1995. She holds a summa cum laude degree from Washington & Lee University, where she was also elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
Amy has clerked for two federal judges and has practiced law at a major Virginia law firm as well as a smaller local local firm. Since 2016, she has devoted her practice primarily to family law, mediation, and collaborative divorce, combining legal expertise with a strong commitment to helping clients find respectful, lasting resolutions.
She is a certified mediator, trained collaborative divorce professional, and certified life coach—credentials that reflect her holistic and client-centered approach to family transitions.
Outside the office, Amy enjoys spending time with her husband and four adult children. She also finds joy in playing tennis and guitar, needlepointing, reading, and tackling the New York Times daily games.
